Vitamin B-12 is involved in the metabolism of every cell in the body. It helps convert carbohydrates into glucose, which the body uses for energy, thereby reducing fatigue and increasing overall energy levels (Allen, 2009).

Caffeine is known to boost metabolism and increase the oxidation of fatty acids. Green tea caffeine, combined with its catechins, can further enhance fat burning, especially during exercise (Venables et al., 2008).

When combined with caffeine, L-Theanine can improve cognitive performance and reduce the jitteriness associated with caffeine consumption. This combination is known to enhance focus, attention, and mental endurance (Haskell et al., 2008).

Vitamin B-12 is vital for maintaining brain health. It helps in the formation of myelin, the protective covering around nerves, and is crucial for cognitive function and reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases (Moore et al., 2012).

Caffeine in green tea can enhance brain function by blocking adenosine, an inhibitory neurotransmitter. This leads to increased neuronal firing and the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine, improving mood, vigilance, reaction time, and memory (Scholey et al., 2012).

L-Theanine has been shown to improve attention, reaction time, and working memory. It enhances alpha brain wave activity, which is associated with alert relaxation and mental clarity (Gomez-Ramirez et al., 2007).

Green tea is rich in catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which are potent antioxidants. These compounds help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases (Babu & Liu, 2008).

The antioxidants in green tea, including its caffeine content, have been shown to have protective effects against certain types of cancers, such as breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers. The polyphenols in green tea can help reduce the growth of tumors and the spread of cancer cells (Yang et al., 2009).
